Ban on Arms Sales to Beijing Regime Continues

Date: March 2, 2004

It comes to our attention that member states of the European Union like France and Germany put forth a bill to suggest lifting the ban on weapon sales to China by European countries; although the bill was finally overruled, it is obvious that France and Germany give priority to their own business interests in China but ignore China's encroachment upon human rights. By selling weapon to China, Europe will help China suppress freedom and infringe upon civil rights of the Hong Kong people, considering that Hong Kong are presently under Chinese occupation (the Chinese armed forces station in Hong Kong territory on a regular basis). The Hong Kong Independence Movement herein appeals to the EU for upholding the arms ban imposed upon China continuously, as the arms ban is essential to the acknowledgement (made by the EU) that China has a notorious track record of human rights infringement upon its own people and Hongkongers.
